Duties of Editors
Editors of the Journal of Language, Discourse, and Communication are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the publication process. Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Editors maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher when appropriate.
Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and should not handle manuscripts in which they have competing interests resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors or institutions connected to the submission.
Editors should take reasonable responsive measures when ethical concerns are raised regarding submitted or published manuscripts. Any cases of suspected misconduct will be addressed in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
